Suddenly, the sound of a gunshot echoes through the garden. Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy run towards the noise, only to find Mr. Wickham lying on the ground, bleeding.

MR. WICKHAM

(weakly)

Darcy...you shot me...

MR. DARCY

(defensive)

It was self-defense! He was going to kill me!

The police arrive on the scene and Mr. Darcy is arrested for murder.

CUT TO:

INT. COURTROOM - DAY
